WHAT WE LOVE...

Built in 1922 by the wealthy heirs to the Pierce Arrow Motor Company, Ingleside Inn offers cosy, whitewashed cottages, a lawn-framed pool and complimentary margaritas at 5pm. The restaurant is named after its charismatic owner for 41 years, Melvyn Haber, who chronicled the 'colourful world of the caviar crowd' in books he placed in the bedrooms for his residents' amusement. This is a historic hotel you want to spend time in with a tangible pedigree - guests can still dine at the table where Frank Sinatra held court while enjoying some Jack Daniels on the rocks. Add in a bijou pool, charming gardens and a central location and this is one of the most memorable stops in Palm Springs.

Style & Character

Ingleside Inn is adults only and a popular venue for weddings and celebrations. It suits international travellers tuning into vintage Palm Springs and stylish couples escaping the California coast. We loved the intimacy of the property with its cottages and cosy corners - this really was (and still is) a hideaway for Hollywood stars.

We enjoyed relaxing by the small, brick-framed swimming pool, set in an enclosed garden with chic teak loungers and a hot tub.
