Hotel Review
Monument Hotel, Barcelona, Spain
Dating back to 1896, this elegant Neo-Gothic palazzo on the grand Passeig de Gràcia drips luxury, not least from its exciting interior design and a remarkable four Michelin Stars shared between its two top restaurants. It retains fine original features such as a beautifully restored stone spiral staircase in the lobby, but mixes them with great modern design. It has a delightful leafy rooftop terrace with a pool, bar, restaurant and gym. It has a great central location in the Eixample neighbourhood, near principal sights including two Gaudi masterpieces, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, as well as the Gothic Quarter and great public transport connections.
