Hotel Review
Hotel 1898, Barcelona, Spain
This delightfully original hotel has a central location and interior that suggest rather higher room rates than usually offered. Originally a colonial building, the hotel mixes colourful decor with historic architectural features. Housed in an impressive Modernist structure built in 1891, it has both an indoor and a roof terrace pool, an atmospheric spa and a fitness centre. You can enjoy tapas on the terrace, or have a more formal meal in the restaurant overlooking the lively Las Ramblas. There's also a business centre, and guest rooms are spacious and comfortable.
