WHAT WE LOVE...

This historic pub sits in the heart of Somerton, a pleasant market town that is believed to have given Somerset its name. It faces the Market Place, which is a good spot for browsing art and antiques. The pub has period features, a patio and a garden, while upstairs are eight rooms that work around the inn's old characteristics. Bedrooms feature wooden beams and a relaxed, eclectic style. The restaurant serves sourdough pizza and well-crafted, locally-sourced food. Somerton lies on a hill above the Somerset Levels, known for Glastonbury Tor, bird-filled wetlands and intriguing burial mounds.
