WHAT WE LOVE...

The Free Trade Hall, home to the five-star The Edwardian Manchester, first opened its doors in 1853 and is one of the city's most historic buildings. The suffragettes protested here and musicians such as the Sex Pistols performed within its walls. Nowadays, the hotel's combination of a lovely spa and decent-sized gym, plus an interesting restaurant serving small plates of Japanese and Mexican food, means you'll want to spend time here. Business travellers will enjoy the ease of having Manchester Central Convention Centre behind the hotel, while leisure guests are over the road from the Albert Hall concert venue and several bars and restaurants. Bedrooms are in a new purpose-built building attached to the hall with some rooms overlooking the central atrium.

Couples on a city break will love all of the leisure facilities and dining options, while business guests will enjoy some luxury away from home. We love that coats of arms of city bodies and local authorities from the building's original auditorium are still displayed in the reception area.
