Hotel Review
Didsbury House Hotel, Manchester
A boutique hotel in a trendy south Manchester suburb, Didsbury House is a place to relax. Interiors in the Victorian villa have been thoughtfully put together by the owner and combine original features - such as stained glass and elaborate cornicing - with bold wallpaper and handpicked pieces of art. Couples come to celebrate here, enjoying cosy drinks in the lounge or on the walled terrace, and lazing in the hotel's signature roll-top baths, which are in all but entry-level rooms. Those visiting the city for business will also appreciate a luxurious contrast to bland chains. Spa and beauty treatments can be arranged in the hotel's treatment room but there are no other leisure facilities.
