WHAT WE LOVE...

Opening in 1912 as the Villa Victoria, this hotel has had a distinguished history with a long list of distinguished guests that have included Joan Miró, José Carrera, Montserrat Caballé, Van Morrison, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Mary Pickford, Edward G. Robinson, Omar Sharif, John Wayne, Marlene Dietrich and various Royal families. However, 1960s renovations took away some of the elegance although recent revamps have given the hotel a more contemporary look, especially in the spacious guest rooms and suites. The restaurant and bar areas offer sumptuous cocktails and Basque cuisine, and the outdoor saltwater pools, children's splash pools, indoor pool and fitness centre ensure there's plenty for a pleasant, active stay when you're not exploring the delights of Palma.

THE DETAILS

Location

The location showcases a different side to Palma, a quieter, more nautical quarter, away from the tourist track.

Situated alongside Palma's marina, you're a short walk from the atmospheric Plaza Mayor and the shopping district is also within easy reach.
By plane: there are direct flights from London (2 hours 25 mins), Manchester (2 hours 40 mins) and Edinburgh (3 hours). The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca airport. Parking costs €25 per day. skyscanner.net
