Hotel Review
11 Cadogan Gardens, Chelsea, London
With its traditional red-brick Victorian façade, 11 Cadogan Gardens occupies four townhouses connected by a myriad of staircases, hallways and corridors. It has an excellent location in the heart of desirable Chelsea, tucked away behind Sloane Square. The dramatic interiors exude a sense of decadence and exclusivity (it was once a private members' club) with mood lighting, dark wood fittings and oil portraits lining the walls. Accommodation ranges from brightly lit rooms with huge windows to darker, more classically styled digs, and there are some gorgeous apartments too. Sit back in the Library with a book in hand, sip afternoon tea in the Drawing Room or head to Hans' Bar & Grill to tuck into tasty contemporary British fare. This is London's only Relais and Châteaux property.

The hotel attracts couples whose kids have flown the nest, who are looking for a London bolthole that is slightly more off the beaten track than your usual central London hotel. It has little nooks where you can curl up with a book or by the fireplace and forget about the world outside.

Food & Drink
Pavilion Road is something of a foodie destination, attracting a local crowd - we loved the lively vibe at the restaurant. The cauliflower wings were a firm favourite, coated in spicy Korean sauce, sesame, coriander and crispy shallots.
Hans' Bar & Grill: stylish café bar, al fresco dining. All-day menu, open daily. Mains from £15.
