Hotel Review
Stapleford Park, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
This countryside mansion evokes grandness from the façade, with acres of land to explore surrounding it. Whilst the décor could be described as tired in parts, the bright colours and eclectic collection of artefacts and antiques make for an interesting, colourful stay. There would be no chance to be bored with the fantastic offering of bookable countryside pursuits, from horse riding and falconry to archery, and weather permitting, you could picnic by the lake or enjoy a game of croquet. Staff appear to genuinely care whilst assisting whenever possible, and the restaurant - as well as providing classic dishes for adults - have a fulsome à la carte children's menu. The relaxing spa is split into two sections, with treatments in the renovated stable block and the pool in the main house.
