WHAT WE LOVE...

Unspoilt La Palma doesn't really do resorts, but Playa de Los Cancajos is the closest the island comes to looking like its more touristy neighbours Gran Canaria and Tenerife. The biggest hotel here is the four-star H10 Taburiente Playa. This was the hotel which hosted the Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez and his colleagues to discuss how to help La Palma bounce back as a destination after the volcanic eruptions of 2021. It's a hotel with authority and presence, which has been part of the local landscape since 1989, and its brilliantly white exterior really stands out against the typically azure skies.
