Hotel Review
Sina Centurion Palace, Venice, Italy
A five-star hotel in a 19th-century palazzo right on the water's edge at the mouth of the Grand Canal. We love the lack of chintz in the interiors, which are sleek and contemporary with a changing display of local art that reflects Dorsoduro's creative vibe - the district that the hotel is at the centre of. Nearby you'll find the Peggy Guggenheim museum for an outstanding collection of 20th-century American and European art, along with artisan makers and independent galleries, including a glass-blowing workshop just a couple of steps away. Rooms either look out on the Grand Canal or on the courtyard at the back and have large bespoke baths and gothic windows. The food in the all-white restaurant is very good too.
