WHAT WE LOVE...

The Mama Shelter group don't do things by halves; decor in their 17 - and counting - hotels worldwide is playful and over-the-top. the food is always top notch (and almost more of a focus than the rooms), while the staff are encouraged to let their personalities shine through. Mama Shelter Rome is no different; walking through the door past a sign saying 'Ciao, belli!' you're immediately confronted with an overload of Italian-inspired design, from walls decorated with Moka coffee-makers, to curtains screen-printed with Panini stickers and a carpet woven with pictures of pizza, pasta, and the occasional Roman emperor. The lobby contains several vintage arcade games, and there are 217 rooms, three restaurants (including one on the roof), and a pool and gym in the basement.
