WHAT WE LOVE...

This is where to come if you like the idea of a cosy 'nest' right in the centre of the city in Dublin's most sustainable hotel, with museums, shops, pubs, restaurants and nightlife right on the doorstep. Rooms are compact, with power showers and remote control black-out blinds. The hotel has zero carbon footprint and all of the heating and energy systems are carbon neutral, with recycling, zero waste and no single-use plastics. The design of the hotel's bar and restaurant features warm, earthy colours and there is a great selection of Irish products from mini-bar treats to beers and spirits in the bar.

THE DETAILS

Location

We loved not having to take public transport or taxis anywhere, and being on the doorstep of the city's social and nightlife.

In the heart of the city, visit the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar and shops on Grafton Street - all within walking distance.
By plane: direct flights to Dublin from Manchester and Birmingham (1 hour), and London (1 hour 15 minutes). It's a 30-minute drive to the hotel. Parking costs €16 per day. skyscanner.net
