WHAT WE LOVE...

A charming three-star hotel with a garden bursting with floral colour and a sheltered outdoor swimming pool situated in the centre of the island midway between St Peter Port and Cobo Bay. Refurbished rooms with Hypnos beds are smart and comfortable and some have windows overlooking the lawns. The focal point of the restaurant is the live lobster tank, which hints at its specialities. The cuisine is excellent, including daily fresh fish, shellfish and seafood; the push-the-boat-out "lobster and grill' for two comes with a whole Guernsey lobster and a 19oz chateaubriand. In summer you can dine on the terrace outside. Eddie's Bar is open all day and serves local ales and ciders along with the usual tipples.
