WHAT WE LOVE...

Situated on the spine of a hill amongst wonderful vistas, with Ornos Bay below, Kalesma is a very special place. The ethos of the hotel is to create a feeling of the old Myconian houses set around a square, and it does this in droves. There are just 25 suites and two villas, so it never feels overwhelmed here. With an infinity pool, lounge area, cocktail bar, restaurant, fire pit and impeccably tended gardens all set amongst each other perfectly, you'll struggle to leave the property to explore the island. Both the exterior and interior design are gorgeous, melding together both the contemporary and the traditional using the highest quality materials. The cuisine is equally impressive, giving a modern twist to the traditional local cuisine.

Style & Character

It's perfect for a romantic getaway but ideal for groups of friends or family too. There's fantastic attention to detail - from the attractive plant display in the lobby and the little olive trees in the poolside courtyard, to the forged cement baths that melt into the window frames.

Service & Facilities

Having your own private pool - big enough to swim lengths, not just a plunge pool like so many private hotel pools on the island - is really special.

There are weights for a workout, a terrace and heated pool. The minimalist décor of the suites and villas is great and there's lots of attention to detail.

Food & Drink

Breakfast stretches from 8am to 1pm, in recognition of all the partying that goes on on this exuberant island. The Greek dish saganaki consists of feta cheese and fig wrapped in filo pastry, with almonds and honey - it's simple and delicious.

Pere Ubu Mykonos: Greek cuisine, small plates and sharing plates. All-day dining, open daily.
