Hotel Review
Nana Princess, Crete, Greece
Although located on Crete's north coast on a quite busy road between the port city of Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos, this is a tranquil haven with its own cute, sleepy beach. That's not to say you'll have no choice but to relax as it is teeming with facilities. It has an exceptional spa and gym as well as loads of sports facilities at its sister hotel, Nana Golden Beach, which is directly next door. Children are very well catered for between the two hotels, with a kids' club, waterpark, playgrounds and more. It boasts great restaurants and bars, including Eternal Blue, which excels at fish-based cuisine, and Meat-In Point, which offers top meat dishes. The contemporary guest rooms and suites are of the highest quality, and most unusually, all have their own individually heated private saltwater pool.

Guests come from all over the world, mostly from Europe but also a sizeable number from the USA and Canada. We appreciated the strong use of natural materials, especially Cretan stone.

Rooms
Our Junior Suite had a small saltwater pool and deck area, with contemporary décor (dark wood and white walls) and a cream marble bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. Rooms are hi-tech with electric curtains, a mirror that moves at the touch of a button to reveal a TV, a bathroom mirror that doubles as another TV and colourful mood lighting.

Food & Drink
Sitting at Eternal Blue as the sun went down and the waves crashed just a few metres away was absolute bliss. The catch of the day (sea bass) was painstakingly de-boned before serving and the fish was so tender and fresh, served with a rich and delicious lemon sauce.
Carpe Diem: lavish hot and cold breakfast buffet served daily, 7:30-11am.
Meat-In Point: poolside restaurant, Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
Eternal Blue: gourmet dining, fresh fish and seafood.
