WHAT WE LOVE...

It took four years to create the largest and most modern Pullman hotel in Europe, which opened in December 2021. Set beside the non-stop swirl of Gare Montparnasse, it rises to 377ft offering panoramic views over Paris from many of its 957 rooms. Check in here if you want to feel the pulse of this mighty capital, which is evident in the Friday night revellers who queue up to sip cocktails in the 32nd floor Skybar, the highest open air rooftop bar in the city. There is also a whole floor given over to event venues, including a Grand Ballroom. By contrast, serenity awaits in the quiet, well-equipped bedrooms featuring bespoke furniture, Art Deco lights and a tablet loaded with helpful information.

The buffet breakfast served in Umami Burger is a generous spread with detox juices, regional cheeses and hams and hot dishes including Toulouse sausage.
