Hotel Review
Mama Shelter Paris East, Paris, France
Opened in 2008, this was the first Mama Shelter hotel in a highly successful brand that today has close to 20 properties across the world from Los Angeles to Prague. Their popularity owes everything to a winning mix of funky rooms, lively bars, weekly events and informality. While the location in the east of Paris seems out of the way, the lived-in streets of the 20th district and proximity to Père Lachaise cemetery are redeeming factors making this a good pick for travellers who prefer to stay away from tourist hotspots. With its young staff, large restaurant, rooftop terrace and zestful style, Mama Shelter Paris East is an easy hotel to engage with whether you're here to relax, party or work.

Style & Character
The hotel suits everyone, but especially the young and young at heart, as well as independent travellers who don't mind the edge-of-city location. Mama Shelter is the antithesis of the stuffy hotel with a playfulness that runs from witty quotes chalked on the ceiling to Spiderman masks by the bed.
