Being able to step outside into nature, and explore such a characterful heritage village is an absolute joy.
The hotel is right in the centre of Bampton, a bustling traditional town that's a 15-minute drive from Exmoor National Park.
By car: The Ginger Peanut is 45 mins from Exeter, 1 hour 30 mins from Bristol and 3 hours 30 mins from London. There is free street parking nearby.
By train: London Paddington to Tiverton Parkway takes around 2 hours. The hotel is a 20-minute taxi ride from the station. thetrainline.com
