Hotel Review
The Socialist, Copenhagen, Denmark
The fact that The Socialist is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio family gives you some idea of what to expect. Like others in the group, it's an independent hotel with its own individual sense of character and design. With just 31 bedrooms to its name, this may be one of Copenhagen's smaller hotels but it makes a big impact on new arrivals - eyes are guaranteed to widen the first time you walk through the front door and clock the dramatic industrial interiors of the 12m-high lobby/bar area. There's more to the Socialist than mere style credentials, though; it's also got a great location in the heart of the city and an excellent in-house restaurant that pulls in locals as well as guests.
