WHAT WE LOVE...

Set in the heart of Dubrovnik's Old Town, St Joseph's is an exquisite little retreat in a sympathetically restored 16th-century townhouse made of Dalmatian stone. There's a welcome sense of being pampered in this sumptuously decorated hotel, along with a lovely feeling of intimacy. No doubt it's because the main house has only six suites, with three smaller rooms in a newly renovated cottage just a few feet away. It's little wonder that St Joseph's is a popular choice for couples looking for a romantic city break. The six suites come with kitchenettes, and the three rooms in the cottage share a kitchen, giving you the chance to make the most of Croatia's delicious produce in Dubrovnik's food markets.

Style & Character

Couples who want a romantic getaway, yet be in the heart of Dubrovnik and have its sights on the doorstep, will love it here. Nothing beats the feeling of stepping into this tranquil place and feeling utterly relaxed, after walking the busy streets of Dubrovnik's Old Town.

Service & Facilities

The luggage service into the Old Town is very handy, and saves you from lugging your bags on the cobbles.

  • In-room dining
  • Family-friendly
  • Free Wi-Fi

Rooms

The Standard and Attic rooms are located within St Joseph's Cottage, next to the hotel. The King Suite is calming and elegant, with exposed stone walls, comfortable sofa and armchair, all in soothing neutral shades. We loved catching glimpses of Dubrovnik life from the window overlooking the little marble lane, but feeling wonderfully cocooned.

Standard Room, Attic Room, Queen Suite, King Suite, Apartment
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, smart TV, free Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

St Joseph's signature green smoothie is a refreshing glass of deliciousness to start the day. The owner's sister makes fabulous burek - a filo pastry pie found all over the Balkans and, in this case, made with spinach and cheese.

Breakfast: a full breakfast is served either in-room (St Joseph's) or an open-plan kitchen (St Joseph's Cottage).
