Hotel Review
The Fleece, Cirencester, Cotswolds
More of a pub with rooms than a hotel, The Fleece is spread out across three pretty townhouses, offering spacious rooms off a warren of higgledy-piggledy creaky corridors. It's set in a 17th century coaching inn in a grade II listed building right in the heart of Cirencester, steps away from the city's major sights. The rooms have a common thread thematically (Chesterfield sofas; oakwood beams) but are different in décor - some have floral wallpaper patterns and velvet headboards in bold hues, while others have sheepskin rugs and playful sculptures. The bar is a popular spot to sip a pint or two, and there's a restaurant and lounge area with crackling fireplace where you can enjoy a drink or a laidback meal.
