WHAT WE LOVE...

This immensely comfortable, contemporary-chic hotel sits at the end of the great sweep of Broadway's famously pretty high street. With plenty of historic appeal, The Broadway Hotel is an intriguing amalgam of honey-stone and half-timbered buildings and was variously a blacksmith's and a bakery before becoming a hotel in the 1930s. The front terrace overlooks the village green and is a hub of local life in the spring and summer. There's a back terrace, too, tucked away in a semi-secret garden that is open only to resident guests - the hotel maintains much peace and tranquillity despite the crowds that descend on the village. It offers a terrific, tall bar with an impressively creative team of cocktail makers, a bright restaurant serving modern British dishes, a quiet sitting room and 19 stylish bedrooms.
