Hotel Review
Driftwood, Portscatho, Cornwall
With its stunning cliff top location and fabulous outlook across the South coast of Cornwall, Driftwood feels more Mediterranean than Cornish. Opened by husband and wife team Paul and Fiona Robinson 17 years ago, it overlooks Gerrans Bay on the Roseland Peninsula, and includes seven acres of gardens full of secluded shady spots, palm trees and subtropical plants, with a winding path down to a perfect crescent of a private beach. Halfway down is a restored cabin with two bedrooms and a sitting room - a magical place to stay during the summer. This laidback coastal retreat offers up a memorable Cornish escape - guests are invited to soak up the style and comforts of the chic surrounding, and indulge in field-to-plate cuisine with quality service.
