WHAT WE LOVE...

If you're visiting Chester for a spoil-yourself weekend, The Chester Grosvenor is the one to book. It's the grandest of the city's hotels, with a prime central location and all the trimmings you'd expect of a five-star hotel, from elegant interiors and smooth service to a Michelin-starred restaurant and small but perfectly formed spa. There's been an inn on this site since the 16th century, but the current incarnation dates back to 1865, with a distinctive façade that runs from a ground-floor colonnade to higher storeys of Tudor-style black and white half-timbering. Inside, all is calm and serene but step outside the front door and you're right in the heart of Cheshire's beautiful county town, perfectly placed to explore its wealth of historic, cultural and culinary attractions.

THE DETAILS
