WHAT WE LOVE...

Housed in two former banks, the Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa dominates the corner of Corn Street in central Bristol. The interior design is a tribute to the imaginative interpretation of the architects, who cleverly transformed two striking buildings - one inspired by the Library of St Mark in Venice - into a hugely stylish boutique hotel. A cool, elegant theme - in keeping with the Harbour brand - runs throughout the hotel, which also includes a small pool and a spa. Other attractions are the exotic Gold Bar, the striking Sansovino Hall, lovely bedrooms and the delightful Jetty restaurant with its seafood-based menu. The hotel's position in the city also makes it a great base.

Style & Character

This hotel is for anyone with a love of style plus it's a great place to go for a celebration, or a romantic getaway. Admire the architecturally inspiring Sansovino Hall, the former banking hall, which now serves as an events space.

Rooms

We're delighted by the thoughtful touches, such as the decanters of sherry and gin in the room. The Corner Suites are a particular highlight, for the views of the street and the funky, playing-card-patterned sofa.

Food & Drink

The delightfully louche Gold Bar with its velvet banquette chairs is a terrific place for a cocktail or two. The fillet of Cod with a crab and herb crust is delicious, as is the Jetty's take on the prawn cocktail.

The Jetty: stylish, seafood and steaks, local produce. Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Dinner mains from £16.
The Gold Bar: quirky, classic cocktails with a modern twist. Open Friday and Saturday 5-10pm. Coacktails starting at £6.95.
