WHAT WE LOVE...

Opening in 2021 to much fanfare, Can Ferrereta is situated in a charming rural town, Santanyí, in the southeast of Mallorca. An attractive estate centring on a 17th-century building, great care has been put into creating gorgeous public spaces including fab artworks and a pool area with a real 'wow' factor. The sophisticated spa offers top-end treatments as well as an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, and there's a state-of-the-art gym too. The two restaurants, which also have bar areas, offer cuisine of the highest quality, while the characterful guest rooms don't disappoint, with their comfy beds, snazzy furniture and luxury bathrooms. It's a lovely area to discover, with a nature reserve and some fantastic beaches on your doorstep.

Rooms

Room 17, a junior suite, looks out onto the charming courtyard, used by Ocre Restaurant on warmer days. It has a lovely large bed, and is dominated by a big stone arch. The neutral décor with cream walls, hardwood floor, stone tiles in the bathroom, big sofa and a piece of original artwork all combine for a very pleasant stay. The top suite has a private garden, with its own mini terrace and pool.

Deluxe, Privilege, Junior Suite, Suite, Nest.
Facilities include: ensuite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, TV, free Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

It's great to have a choice of two restaurants, and two bars. The finer the dining, the smaller the portion, seems to be the law. And the Mallorcan suckling pig with red mojo, yucca and apple foam is very small on the plate, but what sensational, contrasting flavours, and the tenderest meat

Ocre Restaurant & Bar: Mediterranean dishes include Majorcan black suckling pig and turbot. Open daily. Mains from €21.
La Frasca: Light lunches, pizza and fish. Open daily 'til 5pm. Mains from €16.
